Day 14: Tuesday, December 17, 2019: Chilean Fiords...we were told

Today we were to be cruising the beautiful fiords of Chile. Instead, we woke to rain and dense fog. The shore line was not to be seen. Things could be worse however, I checked my backyard cameras back home and we seem to have gotten 3-4" of snow last night.

Our progress this morning shows up along the Chile coast.

The picture on the daily newspaper showed up what we were supposed to have seen.

What we saw however was,,,,

In the afternoon, the fog lifted enough to see the shore line, but it didn't last long. By 5:00 pm, it was obscured again.

Tomorrow is our last port, Puerto Montt, before reaching Valparaíso on Friday.
